This is the Ed Leith Cretaceous Menagerie at the Wallace Geology Building, University of Manitoba. It's sort of a mini-museum with only four skeletons, and some display cases with rocks and fossils.

From left to right are the archelon, a giant sea turtle; the gorgosaurus, a carnivorous theropod, and xiphactinus, a big ugly fish. A better description of the menagerie can be found here.

Tomorrow: same picture, opposite angle. (I couldn't choose a "best" picture, so you'll be getting two more!)

NOTES:

  • Took over 40 pics of the museum. Actually, 20 pics, but I tried everything with a flash and with no flash.

  • I steadied the camera in this pic by touching it to the floor.
