Sturgeon Creek and Saskatchewan Avenue. It was -24C with a windchill of -34C at the time. But I craved to get out of the house and take some pics. The all-mechanical camera held up OK in the cold. When I'm not sure what to focus on (such as in a pic like this) I manually set the focus to 10 or 20 meters, depending on the scene. That seems to be about the right distance to get everything sufficiently sharp, even at f/1.4. Info: 1/15sec, f1.4, Fuji Superia Xtra 800, handheld, distance 20m, exp.comp -1, Yashica FX-3 Super 2000, Zeiss Planar 1.4/50 T*. Sharpened. |
