I've always liked the way this tree turned a deep green whenever it rained. The water triggers the lichen on the bark to photosynthesize more effectively, increasing the chlorophyll content, and thus the greenness. Lovely, so long as you ignore the pee-scorches on the lawn (dogs like that tree too). |
