Evolution of the Bathroom

From the article, an interesting fact about the evolution of toilets (then again, what fact about the evolution of toilets isn't interesting?):
[In the 1700's] There also appears to have been a tradition in which street vendors would, for a small fee, provide you with a cloak and bucket so that you could relieve yourself in public with a modicum of privacy.

Hah, such heathens back then. Thanks to the disinhibiting effects of modern-strength alcohol, civilized man no longer needs the archaic services of the pisspot vendor!
